Problem & Jahlil Beats - Fastest Record To Radio

Published on Apr 5, 2013
Unlike anything done in hip-hop before, we combined the talents of super
producer Jahlil Beats with rapper Problem to complete what can only be
called "the fastest record to radio." Assembling at Victory Lane Studios
in Los Angeles, watch the process as two songs go from the early stages of
completion to a finished product - which is then delivered to the LA
Leakers at Power 106 and played for the world to hear.

Following the release of his critically-acclaimed, LRG-assisted mixtape EST. IN 1989 PT. 2, Mike WiLL Made It invites the cameras along with him as he allows for an energetic and star-studded look at what a day in the life of a rising super-producer entails. Detailing the various artists who appear on the mixtape -- including Drake, 50 Cent, 2 Chainz, Diddy, Gucci Mane, Future, Waka Flocka, French Montana and Mac Miller -- additional hip-hop heavyweights like Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa make an appearance as well as part of the promotional push for the tape.

Sonny Digital - Off The Record

As part of LRG's continuing Off the Record series that profiles many of the top producers in the world of hip-hop, we caught up with Atlanta beatsmith Sonny Digital in the studio to talk about the process that goes into crafting a hit record. Detailing his experience contributing to YC's "Racks" as well as Future's "Same Damn Time," Sonny is candid about what it's like to have the biggest song in the country - yet still feel like his hustle is never ending. A self-motivator to the core, Sonny Digital is part of the new breed of hit-makers.

Da Internz [video]

Da Internz, the Chicago-based duo comprised of Tuo and Kosine, recently sat down with LRG for the ongoing "My Favorite Things" web series that spotlights items that can't be lived without. Having produced records for Big Sean, Ludacris, Plies, 50 Cent, Sean Kingston, NAS, and Justin Bieber, this Windy City production outfit is surely a sonic pairing that has a bright future ahead of them. Amongst the things mentioned are the Jordan Conchords, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle regalia and NBA2K12 for Xbox.

Off The Record: Young Chop | Part 2

In part 2 of our Off the Record series with 18-year-old phenom producer Young Chop, he describes how the viral hit "I Don't Like" came about -- detailing how the chorus, verses and beat came together quickly during a recording session. In addition, Chop reveals insight into the remix of the Chief Keef track that features Kanye West, Pusha T, Jadakiss and Big Sean. Not the type of person to rest on his laurels, Chops remains as focused as ever -- knowing that longevity in hip-hop is what separates overnight successes from those with ultimate staying power.
