Multiple Grammy-winning producer, musician, and songwriter, RedOne, has become one of the most successful and sought after record producers and songwriters in the world. RedOne won a Grammy in 2010 for "Poker Face” with Lady Gaga off of her The Fame album, which RedOne produced and co-wrote 7 songs including 5 back-to-back hit singles. In 2011, he garnered another Grammy for Best Pop Album for his production on Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster. He has earned yet another GRAMMY nomination this year for his producing credits on Lady Gaga's Born This Way album.
RedOne was also named BMI’s Songwriter of the Year, Billboard’s Producer of Year and #1 Songwriter. The Swedish Music Publishers Association also awarded RedOne with multiple distinguished awards including, Composer of the Year, Song of the Year ("Bad Romance"), Most Played Song of the Year ("Bad Romance").
RedOne’s uncanny ability to discover and break new talent has made a name for himself as one of the industry's leading and most innovative producers – known for creating new sounds and memorable melodies that help launch new artists and that revive established artists’ careers. He is often credited among his peers as the “architect of sound.”
In 2010, he established his own record label, 2101 Records, a joint venture with Universal Music. Rock/Pop fusion artist Porcelain Black, Swedish-Congolese artist Mohombi and Nayer are the first artists on 2101 Records. Many of these acts have seen their debut work topping sales and radio airplay charts domestically and internationally. Nayer's music video “Suave (Kiss Me)” with Pitbull has amassed 8 million views, Mohombi's videos has amassed over 55 million views with multiple #1 singles around the world, and Porcelain Black continues to receive critical acclaim for her live performances.
More recently, RedOne produced several tracks off of Lady Gaga's album, Born This Way, selling more than 15 million albums and 51 million in single downloads between Born This Way, The Fame and the The Fame Monster releases. Last year’s singles include, Nicole Scherzinger’s “Poison”, Enrique Iglesias’ “I Like It ft. Pitbull”, and Usher’s “More” among others helped fuel a Grammy nomination in 2011. Since then RedOne has produced a flurry of chart topping singles including Enrique Iglesias' "Dirty Dancer", Lady Gaga’s “Judas”, Midnight Red’s “One Club At A Time”, and Pitbull ft. He has also contributed his time and talent to several charity recordings including producing (with Quincy Jones) “We Are The World 25 for Haiti” and “Bokra” and recording "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" with his brother, Nabil Khayat, for Chimes of Freedom - a celebratory tribute to 50 years of Bob Dylan and Amnesty International.
