A while back Waka Flocka agreed with an interviewer who claimed he is the originator of drill music, a style recently popularized by Chicago rap artists. When we asked Young Chop about it during our latest interview with him, his response was clear. “He couldn’t because he was around a lot of Chicago n***as,” Chop said. The 22-year-old went on to further explain his point by claiming a majority of Waka’s professional music videos are shot in Chicago. “You was [sic] influenced by us,” Chop later added.
