Beanz and Kornbread sounds really good right about now. And much like a plate of the southern favorite side dishes, theres pretty much never a moment when this duo of talented producers/ musicians ever dont sound as good as anything youll hear. They possess a sound that is influenced by a bizzare and amazingly varied group of artists, froem the late genius J Dilla to the legendary DJ Quick to jazz great Harbie Hancock to rock band Pink Floyd, without ever forgetting their roots.
The word multi-talented does not begin to descrobe Beanz, a musician's musician who happens to be a classically- trained percussionist, and a self taught multi- instrumentalist who also has a capability to use all of there talents to produce widly different, yet uchangingly brilliant music, in many genres.
Kornbread is the other half of the duo, and not only does he bring flair and passion to the music, but this self taught musician brings a knowledge of styles in music grom his life by living in suchcities as Los Angeles, St. Louis and Houston, but his avid fandom of not just creating but music itself.
Together, it is almost unfair that this much skill be within one group, yet twork so well together.
