We finally sat down with an entertainment lawyer, Karl Fowlkes, and asked him all the questions we have always wanted to ask a lawyer. We talked about music publishing, what to do if your beat gets stolen or used without permission, We asked about what to do if you get a placement with an artist and the label never pays you or credits you. We got into the pros and cons of signing a production deal with indie labels.
