Curtiss King pulled up to talk about mental healthhis breakthroughs practicing digital minimalism which helped him overcome social media addiction, depression, and finding the joys of everyday life. Yes he still loves making beats, selling beats online & helping other music producers learn how to sell beats but he is putting a lot of his energy into his regular people stuff.
We all agreed that we love the Gary Vee motivation but it sometimes make us think we aren’t doing enough.Curtiss also believes one of the most important tools for producers is talking to a therapist aka cognitive behavioral therapy despite the mental illness stigma in the culture. Certain disorders like social anxiety can hold your career back so it’s best to get help with them.
This was a dope episode because we haven’t had too many guests on the producergrind podcast that have talked about these mental health type topics. Many followers of his channel look to him as an online life coach or a big bro.
We also talked about Curtiss King’s multiple passive income streams, using clickfunnels to sell beats & his thoughts on building a music producer YouTube channel.
