    Young Guru

    Young Guru

Revered as “The Sound of New York,” Gimel Keaton, better known as Young Guru, possesses over a decade of experience in sound engineering, production, and A&R for the acclaimed Roc-A-Fella Records and Def Jam Records. Most recognized for shaping some of the biggest talent in Hip Hop, Young Guru has mixed 10 of Jay-Z’s 11 albums, and has earned himself a number of shout-outs on Jay-Z’s tracks paying homage to his exceptional skills behind the boards. Influenced by early Hip Hop, Rock & Roll, Electro, House and Soul music, Young Guru’s skill set has definitively branded him as a true sound genius and orchestrator. Known as one of the most notable engineers in the history of Pop and Hip Hop music, Young Guru officially became Jay-Z’s tour DJ in 2010. It is an endeavor well-suited for him, considering his impeccable knowledge of Jay-Z’s discography, and their long-standing personal and professional relationship. A beast on the beats, DJing is just another notch on Guru’s belt. Having toured with rapper, Nonchalant, in 1996, spinning is nothing new for Young Guru. Respected by industry veterans and newcomers alike, in a recent interview with GQ Magazine Drake’s platinum-record-producer and engineer “40” spoke highly of Young Guru, saying that he aspires to attain the level of success Guru has achieved in his career. 2011 proved to be a win for Young Guru as he was seamlessly introduced to the fans that know and love his work. He burst on the scene at Fader Magazine’s Fader Fort at SXSW, which is known for showcasing new artists. Young Guru has also lectures frequently for the Red Bull Music Academy & The Grammy Foundation. Later in 2011, he was invited as a guest instructor at The SAE Institute (School of Audio Engineering). As a result of this relationship with SAE and his passion for music education, Young Guru has established The Young Guru Foundation to assist students. The scholarship is a partnership between SAE, Young Guru and Heal the Hood and will facilitate a year of full time study in sound production for a select candidate. With several projects in the works, 2012 is projected to be very exciting for Young Guru. With such a successful track record, there is no question why Young Guru is the DJ of choice, the instructor of the creative, and a producer of timeless music. http://www.djyoungguru.com/ http://www.facebook.com/djyoungguru http://twitter.com/young_guru

    Noah-40-Shebib-

Noah Shebib, (born on March 31, 1983) better known as 40, is a Canadian hip-hop producer from Toronto, Ontario. He is currently signed to Hip Hop Since 1978, a management and production company. In addition to a strong affiliation with Young Money Entertainment, Shebib has produced for artists such as Drake, Lil Wayne, and Alicia Keys. He has played a significant role in Canadian rapper/singer Drake's success in the music industry, and is one of his best friends. He supposedly adds his "last touches" to every single Drake song and does an extremely detailed review to make sure every detail is up to his expectations.[citation needed] He is known for his downtempo, ambient style of production. Acting Shebib began his career as a child actor. He made appearances in many TV shows and films such as the Gemini Award-winning series Wind at My Back, Goosebumps, and The Virgin Suicides. Music career Early in Noah's career before he started crafting beats, he DJ'd under the name DJ Decibel and performed alongside MC Elite (Everett MacLean). Shebib eventually made the shift from DJ to music producer, working with local Toronto artists like Empire, Knamelis, Christopher Morales, and Saukrates. He began working with then Degrassi star Aubrey Graham (Drake) in 2005. He was shown producing with Drake on Degrassi Unscripted. Shebib's big break came in 2009, when he executive produced Drake's mixtape So Far Gone with Toronto-based producer, Boi1da. He mixed and engineered every song, including the hit song "Successful", which he also produced. Shebib also produced the song "I'm Single" from Lil Wayne's "No Ceilings" mixtape[3], "Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)" for Alicia Keys and "Demonstrate" for JoJo. from Wikipedia http://www.octobersveryown.net/ http://www.facebook.com/Noah40Shebib http://www.twitter.com/ovo40 http://www.myspace.com/noah4040shebib
