Nestled within the endless sprawl of concrete, metal, repurposed warehouses, and dead-end traffic is a slice of sonic bliss. It is for Eric Krasno, at least, and for anyone else with matching penchant for an all-inclusive, multi-instrumental writing and recording hideaway. We recently caught up with Eric at his Los Angeles studio to learn more about his process. Amplifiers, synthesizers, controllers, compressors, hardware, and software abound, alongside at least a dozen guitars and basses, making for an indelible sonic sandbox that exemplifies the caliber and diversity of work that’s netted him the multiple Grammy recognitions that adorn his walls.
