    Too much processing on individual samples—especially filtering—can actually degrade their quality. Most samples are already heavily processed, so applying more EQ or filtering can ruin transients and phase relationships. Using linear phase filters can help prevent clipping and preserve detail, but it’s not always necessary—or ideal—for every situation.

    This video shows both what not to do and a smart workaround to avoid over-processing while keeping your mix clean and dynamic.
