Mura Masa is a bedroom producer, in the very literal sense that he makes the music he is producing in his bedroom, with just his laptop, and a pair of headphones. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t taking the music he is making any less seriously. Mura Masa recently sat down with The FADER to talk about being a bedroom producer, and the misleading connotations behind the term.
“I only just moved into a studio, like literally a week ago,” he explained, noting that nearly all of the music he has made has been on his laptop. He also spoke about what it was like working with A$AP Rocky, and spoke about his new album, which is a “collection of the most relevant people in pop culture right now.
