A first impression video about the free version of Avid Pro Tools. Pro Tools is a DAW where you can record vocals and make beats (music production). It’s been around since 1995 and considered an “industry standard”. Every major recording studio has Pro Tools in their engineering rooms. There are alternatives that have better options (and cheaper prices) but Pro Tools is pretty universal. Does it make Pro Tools the best?!? No!!! However, I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a “professional” not use Pro Tools. There’s a free version which forces you to sign in to use it (on top of using an iLok account). It’s also subscription based now unlike it predecessors . How do you feel about this. Leave a comment below!
