Hey what’s up producers, Joshua Casper here with Plugin Boutique and I’m here with exciting news, one of our newest manufacturers “Excite Audio” has just released a new plugin called “Lifeline Console” which brings recordings to life with the warmth and charm of analogue audio processing.

While their first plugin “Lifeline Expanse” simulates the space and characteristics of real recording environments and by using various technique including re-amping methods, Lifeline Console focuses on the mixing aspect in a control room, offering you the sound of sought-after hardware and analogue formats all within your DAW.

Now, a really cool thing is that if you are familiar with Lifeline Expanse’s workflow, you will feel right at home with Console.

Each of the plugin’s five rearrangeable effects modules brings a particular vintage flavour to your signal chain.

The Pre-amp warms and enhances the signal with colourful saturation via a customisable frequency response

The EQ offers characterful spectral shaping with a choice of analogue circuitry

The Compressor makes quick work of dynamics duties and contains an innovative Auto Makeup control which actually listens to your audio and makes a precise gain adjustment for you to achieve no noticeable gain loss on your compressed signal.

The Modulation panel imparts the movement and life of warped records and tape speed variations

And finally, the Wear module adds the charm and imperfections of old-school playback, introducing the noise, artefacts and unpredictable nature of tape, vinyl and cassettes.

Now, the fun doesn’t stop there. The Global Controls offer more significant opportunities to capitalize on getting that rich colourful analogue character.

There’s the Warm knob which enhances the low frequencies of an entire mix, helping to glue the bottom end together.

While the Shine knob achieves a high-end sparkle that’s perfect as a final stage of sheen to give your track an extra edge.

Then you can find your ideal console to work on for each session with the Triangle Pad, which houses both Clean and Vintage emulations of mixing desk circuitry, allowing you to find the perfect blend between the two and your dry signal.

Whether you’re adding gentle sheen and signal enhancement, degrading a sound into a nostalgic, lo-fi production, or anything in between, there’s a module combination in this plugin for whatever you need.

Let’s check out a few examples of what Lifeline console can do to your audio.

There you have it. This is a really great VST for getting that heavily sought-after warmth and character of analogue mixing consoles!

It’s great for individual tracks, busses and even your master!

Lifeline Console is available now on PluginBoutique.com, so click the link in the video description and as usual, I’m Joshua Casper and I’ll see you in the next video.
